I am the youngest of seven children, and it always bothered me that everyone took care of me, but I never had anyone to take care of. When my first niece was born, my sister asked me to keep an eye on her and I fell in love with caring for children. I got my first babysitting job when I was 12 (the mom worked from home while I watched the kids) and have done it on and off ever since. Working as a camp counselor on multiple occasions, I have gone through basic first aid training (though not CPR trained), and other helpful types of training, such as the approach to dealing with abuse and sexual misconduct.
