General experience: Most of my 3 years of experience working with children has been ages 6-12. I have been a summer counselor with Life for Youth Camp in Florida, a substitute teacher in Jefferson County, a teacher's assistant, a homework helper, and part of teen outreach/drama clubs for my home church. I am creative, responsible, gentle, affectionate, patient, and hard-working. I can cook at a moderate level, clean, do yard work, organize a space, and communicate very well. Education: I have two degrees: applied psychology and elementary education. I have lots of knowledge about best teaching practices, emotional and developmental issues, mental health, physical health, special education, and so much more. There's nothing I'm not willing to learn, even if it's a child's favorite board game! I am working towards a high school math degree, and hope to begin making a positive difference in the school system soon.
