I am the mother of 5 adult children and a 9yr old daughter I possess a number of personal assets that will afford you peace of mind while caring for your children. I am high energy, very dependable, trustworthy, and healthy in mind, body and spirit. My life’s dedication has been to pursue my passion for children. My experience and qualifications include, but are not limited to, caring for children in the capacity of a foster parent. I served as a live in houseparent in a children’s home that served teen moms and their infant children. I was responsible for 4 girls and 4 babies, providing for all their needs, as well as coaching them in life skills, teaching them to care for their children. I have worked in another children’s home that served at risk youth, in the capacity of houseparent for 8 teen boys. I also was a Read more para-professional in the public high school they attended. I tutored developmentally delayed children in the high school. I adopted 2 special needs children and raised them to become responsible citizens, I have extensive training through state agencies in the care of children who have been displaced from their families through abuse, neglect or circumstances that find it necessary to be placed in the foster care system. During my tenor as a foster parent, I participated in numerous in- service training sessions focusing on unconditional love and unfailing support to navigate them through the pressures of relationships and expectations, while displaced from their families. My husband and I have just re-entered the U.S. from Brazil, where we served as missionaries for the last 5 years. Children are my passion and my gift is to provide loving instruction while modeling healthy emotional behaviors, nurturing God's most precious gift. On a final note, my second passion is animals, which is what motivated me to finally realize my dream just this past year to become a professional pet groomer. So you can be rest assured that your fur babies will, also, be loved!
