I am young, responsible, and full of energy to keep your little one(s) entertained! I am loving, caring, and devoted to the health, safety, and development of children. I am CPR & First Aid Certified. I’m looking to nanny or babysit for a family long term. I have my own vehicle and plenty of experience. I have been around and cared for children from newborn to school age. Growing up I spent a lot of time caring for my younger brother and babysitting 3 nieces and 5 nephews. I have daycare and pre-school experience and I’m currently a nanny for my sister. My most recent nanny position was about a two year term, where I was an in-home for a little boy who is now 4 and a little boy who is now 2. The oldest son is autistic with slight speech and development delays, because of this I am Read more very familiar with children who need a little more patience and attention. Some duties included: light house work, cooking/feeding, bathing, changing diapers, taking care of them when they were sick, and assisting their mother at doctor & therapy appointments. I also have about 6 months experience as a Teacher's Assistant at the Child Development Center in Bellevue, WA. I would open the center, prep snacks, and fill in for teachers on their days off. I am familiar with managing larger groups of children. I enjoy arts & crafts, baking & cooking, animals, and reading. I am enthusiastic about learning through play! I love being able to teach a child something new and seeing the enjoyment and light in their eyes. I love the outdoors and I feel it is important to make outdoors a part of everyday life. I also know a little bit of sign language. Enough to teach a child learning to speak basic manners such as: please & thank-you, help, more, etc. A future goal for me is to become either a Speech Therapist or a Developmental Therapist and work with young children. Aspen worked for us for about 3 months. We liked her, the kids liked her and I thought everything was good. Then when our schedule was very busy and I was supposed to go out of town for 4 days, she just never showed. Never called, nothing. Left us high and dry and my 4 day trip ended up being one day because I didn't have anyone to watch my kids. No warning, no communication. I expected more from her. I thought Aspen had more respect for herself and us to not give us any warning at all. She is a good worker but unpredictable.
