Hello, my name is Sara Benton, I am 25 years old. I am currently studying at the University of Tennessee working on receiving my Master's degree in Therapeutic Recreation. I was awarded a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology with a minor in Special Education from Old Dominion University. I have worked with children in a daycare environment, as well as a nanny setting. I volunteered in an orphanage for two months encompassing children from 1 day old up to 5 years old, with many diverse needs. I spent a majority of my undergrad working at the university's Children's Learning and Research Center working in the two-year old classroom. I floated around as a sub in different classrooms from infants up to middle school. I feel confident in my many years of experience taking care of children. Some of my interests include playing sports, hiking, kayaking, swimming, riding horses, and being Read more around animals. I also enjoy crafting, drawing and painting to relax for the day. I grew up with animals, so pets are never a problem! I really like working with children; they are funny, witty, intelligent, pure-hearted, and full of joy. As I am in school this spring semester, I have classes on Tuesdays and Thursday all day, and one Wednesday evening class starting at 6:30 pm.
