I have worked with children since I was a teenager. After taking childcare classes and babysitting regularly in high school, I worked at a local daycare in my early twenties before opening my own daycare/preschool until I became a mommy myself and took a little break to be with my newborn. Once she was a year old, I began babysitting a few children to keep it small enough to still have lots of one on one time with my child. Once my daughter was preschool age, I became a preschool teacher at The Learning House, then began volunteering and tutoring children at her elementary school once she started kindergarten. My daughter is now 16, but I also have a 7yr old son, so I continue to volunteer at his school. Working with children has always been my calling.
