Hi there! My name is Elizabeth and I would really love to talk with you about this position! I'm a compassionate and caring person with fifteen years experience with children. I have extensive references and can submit to a background check. I am CPR and first aid certified. I have my own car with a clean driving record and valid insurance. I've cared for children from birth to twelve, even teaching a small Pre-K class for a while. I have mostly worked with individual families doing in-home care as well as working as a mother's helper. I am comfortable with multiple children; the more the merrier! Sick children are not a problem for me. Pets are alright with me as well. I'm okay with all sizes of dogs and cats. As far as responsibilities, I am comfortable with light housekeeping, errands, and transportation/carpooling. I am a very hands-on nanny/babysitter. I Read more like to teach by doing and have fun without using electronics. I enjoy reading to children from the collection books I get each week from the local library. I practice both the time out method and diversion method in terms of punishment. I like to create a positive and honest atmosphere that co insides with scheduled and structured activities. Over the past year, I have doubled as a tutor for the families I've worked with. I take pride in how I've been able to Inspire reading and raise school grades. My rates are hourly. Base price is $11 for one child 5+ years old and $12 for children under 5 years old. $1 for each additional child 5+ years old and $2 for each additional child under 5 years old. Overnights are $60 for 12 hours of care for children 3+ years old and $80 for 12 hours of care for children under 3 years. If responsibilities are required outside of cleaning up after your child, an additional surcharge would need to be discussed. Compensation for gas is expected as well if transportation for children is more than 5 miles away from your home. All prices are negotiable. I want to work with you to meet your budgeting needs.
