Hello! My name is Shelby, and I'm a graduate from Stephen F. Austin State University. I have a Bachelor's degree in Child Development and Family Living with a minor in Early Intervention and will hopefully be pursuing my graduate degree in September 2017. I have a passion for working with children and enjoy every age group! I believe that children have the potential to succeed in whatever they pursue, as long as there is a dedicated, encouraging support system behind them. I strive to be a part of that support system and show each child (s)he has the potential to succeed in life! In addition to my passion and education, I also have several years experience working with children and youth. I worked at the La Petite Academy as a part-time teacher in the Infant room, Early Preschool room, Preschool room, and Pre Kindergarten room, was a Management Intern at Read more the Child Development Center in Rota, Spain, interned at the Kinder Frogs School at TCU, have babysat for the past several years, and have volunteered in my church nursery and children's church services over the past few years as well. Overall, I love working with children and youth and providing a safe, fun environment for children to grow, learn, and thrive in by being a caring, positive, and patient caregiver.

We have been more than pleased with Shelby's care of our two young boys. They are quite the handful at 3 years old and 19 months and Shelby handled them with ease. As parents we sometimes struggle during bedtime, but Shelby was a pro. She is puntual, responsible, kind, very respectful and polite, as well as playful and great with the kids. The love her. She is also a great communicator. We trust her completely. We feel like we found a gem and hope to use Shelby for many more years to come!
