I became a caregiver because I love working and helping people. You have to possess a lot of patience and love what you do. I love being around people so much that I plan to get my masters in social work from UT Arlington in the fall 2017. My focus will be in mental health. I've done volunteer work with kids from hosting track meets, being a coach, working at the Boys and Girls club, being a H.O.P.E tutor, mentoring/talking to kids, working at T. Howard Middle School passing out meals, had a job as an after school teacher, and helped at the Salvation Army. I also was a para-professional that helped with daily living activities with underprivileged and at-risk kids. Working with kids comes naturally to me. It's something I plan to make a career from it.
