Hi everyone, My name is Jacqueline Ortiz, and I am 25 years old and currently working as an inclusion preschool teacher at The Rise School of Austin. I grew up in Laredo, Texas and then moved to Austin to attend The University of Texas (Hook 'Em). In 2014 I completed my bachelor of science degree in speech-language pathology. After I graduated, I worked as a speech-language pathology assistant and began pursuing my master of arts in special education from The University of Texas at San Antonio, which I completed in December of 2015! During my last semester of school, I worked as special education assistant at a local public school; life brought me back to Austin and I am so happy to be here! I enjoy reading, exercising, trying new foods, sunshine, and playing with my Boston Terrier, Otis.
