Hello! My name is Carissa Hatcher. I am 36 years young. I have been taking care of children of all ages since I was young. October 2002-July 2006 In my early 20’s I worked part time as a nanny for families of the Windsor Polo & Golf Club in Vero Beach, FL, as well as working full time at the Country Club and studying full time at the nearby community college. I worked at Windsor for 4 years and traveled north during the summer to work for some of the families of Sankaty Golf Club in Nantucket.  May 2011-October 2012 I worked as a preschool teacher in Austin, TX at United Methodist Preschool. I cared for babies from the ages of 2 months old to 3 years old on a part time basis. January 2013 – June 2015 In-house nanny for a single mother and two grade school children; through Read more the ages of 8-11 and 4-7. May 2014 - August 2014 I was a caretaker for an infant from the age of 2 months old until 7 months, old part time at the families place of residence, Monday - Friday from 3-7pm during the parents shift change. My experience includes: Transportations after school Grocery shopping Light house keeping / organizing Errands Laundry Creative playtime I enjoy being outdoors and like to swim, ride bikes, and explore nature as well as bake and cook. I enjoy reading and writing at home. I also enjoy artistic work with the children, and feel imaginative playtime is important. I am a good listener though also know how to hold the form that children need to feel secure while being attentive to their needs. I realize that children learn and grow like little sponges and imitate what they see and hear, therefore what we do speaks louder than what we can say. I feel it’s important for children to be surrounded by positive role models. I look forward to meeting your family to see if we are a good fit for each other.
