I am new to Austin and making a switch from being behind a desk all day! My interest in care giving began at a young age. As an older child in daycare, I greatly enjoyed helping the teachers with kids much younger than myself. I became Red Cross certified when I was about 13. After that, I sat for many of my mom's co workers and backed up friends on their jobs with children from ages 2 to 12. More recently, I have been spending time with my 3 year old niece and 5 month old nephew back in Wisconsin. I learned to read by age 4, so I strongly believe in fun and education simultaneously! I also believe in getting out of the house during the day and being active in the community. I am a dog lover, but unfortunately am allergic to most other pets (cats, birds, rodents).
