Hello! I am a former teacher and caregiver looking for part-time work with a few wonderful Austin families! After earning my degree in Early Childhood Education, I worked for one year as a Pre-K Intern Teacher at an international school is Seoul, Korea and then transitioned to teaching Kindergarten for two years in Fairfax County (near Washington, D. C.). I implemented whole- and small-group lessons across content areas and most enjoyed Read Alouds and facilitating Writing Workshop. I also have 10+ years' experience as a nanny, sitter, and camp counselor. During middle and high school, I was the primary sitter for two neighborhood families with 4 children each, and I loved it! It was a privilege to watch their children grow up and to become a part of their families. Their ages ranged from approximately 3 months to 13 years. I would also pet-sit and house-sit for these families as Read more well on an as needed basis. I am also very passionate about health and am a certified holistic health coach. I love to cook and to engage kids in their food through cooking projects and age-appropriate discussions of healthy foods. As a caregiver, I really enjoy reading to and with kids, planning outdoor activities, and working on arts and crafts. My interests include making jewelry, reading, trying new recipes, walking, yoga, dining out, wine, travel, collecting art and getting acquainted with my new city of Austin.
