I have taught, babysat, and volunteered for organizations/families in which the children were of all ages. I have babysat children ages 1-15, I am currently student teaching in high school classrooms and elementary classrooms in which I am the apprentice teacher for those students, and I have worked and volunteered at summer camps in which I was in charge of multiple grade levels and taught theatre, dance and music to grades k-6th. Before I switched my second major to Theatre Studies (theatre teacher), I was a Special Education major. and worked with students with disabilities. I am familiar with autism because my older brother has autism. I also volunteered last spring at the McBeth recreation center, a center for people with disabilities, and worked/spent time with children and adults. I also worked as a mentor/counselor for high school students enrolled in a month-long musical theatre camp in which I made Read more sure they remained in a safe environment in the dorm we stayed in, as well as participated and led many activities for the students.
