Growing up with a little sister who is seven years younger than myself, I had numerous opportunities to watch over her. I also become the go to sitter of my neighborhood back at home, babysitting at least once a weekend so parents could go out together. I had a summer babysitting job for a mother with two kids who taught summer school. This specific opportunity provided me with the knowledge and insight on taking care of young children, while also taking care of a child with special needs.
