At age sixteen, still in high school, I was qualified enough through my knowledge in the medical field to become a phlebotomist at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center. I worked there for two years and it was one of the most amazing experiences I have had regarding my career. Not only was I dealing with adult patients but I also spent just as much time in the nursery with the infants and parents. It was a fast pace job that required quick reactions to emergencies, I left due to moving cities to attend college here in Austin. I have also been babysitting every summer since about that age 15, mostly ranging from newborns to about ten years old. Although I have only babysitter those that are relatives to me, I still had responsibilities and did everything correctly and appropriately. This past summer, 2014, I took care of a 6 month old Read more baby girl, 5 year old boy, 8 year old girl, 10 year old girl, and also a 13 year old teenage girl. All in which I watched them all at the same time, it does sound like something I couldn't handle at 18 years old but I really enjoyed bonding with the kids and getting them all involved in actives would could all participate in. Recently my brother had twins and his wife and him both work full time jobs therefore I spent 4 weeks of my Christmas break, 2014, taking care of two 4 month of baby girl twins. In regards to that I feel that I am very reliable, responsible, and truly do my best in everything I am put out to do.I was been CPR certified for the past four years, although my card just expired in November, I am willing to renew it. I was top 11% of my graduating class in high school, I was very involved and passionate about my grades. Therefore, I would love the opportunity to be able babysit again while I am in college, I know that I will do the very best I can to make sure parents feel comfortable and safe with their children in my care. :)
