Hello! My name is Sam. I recently graduated from NYU where I doubled majored in psychology and journalism. I currently do freelance social media and editorial work for a few different websites. Now that I've graduated I have a lot of extra time and am looking to getting back to babysitting or nannying. I have a lot of experience working with kids, in the past I have babysat for several families in Austin and New York, volunteered tutoring middle school kids, and worked as an assistant in a kindergarten classroom. As a volunteer tutor I helped kids with a variety of subjects including math, science, english and social studies, so I am definitely comfortable with providing homework help. As I mentioned, I also worked at an elementary school for two years as a teacher's assistant/reading tutor with two groups of amazing kindergartners. Both of the classes I worked with had Read more 23 kids each, so I'm comfortable working with a lot of kids at the same time (but of course I like spending time one-on-one or with small groups). I am also in the NY Department of Education's system, so rest assured that I have a clean background! I speak Spanish (native level) and French (conversational level) so if you're interested in having a sitter that can help out your child with a language or simply teach them a little, I'm definitely up for the challenge! Since I work freelance, I make my own hours which means I'm basically available all the time. I'm ideally looking for a full time nannying position but am open to anything you might need!
