I'm currently a junior at the University of Texas at Austin, studying Retail Merchandising. I'm from Laredo, Texas. I've had job experience at a Law Office working as a secretary and at Joe Brand, a retail specialty store, managing their online PR (Instagram, Facebook, twitter, online website), visual merchandising (window displays), and assisting the buying process. What does this have to do with babysitting? Pretty much nothing. I just wanted to give some kind of general background regarding my work experience. As far as experience that will matter to you, I babysat regularly throughout my entire high school career. I grew up in a household of a single working mother and have two younger sisters that I've constantly taken care of. One of my sisters is 9 years younger than I am which made me learn how to take care of a newborn at a very young age. As my Read more sister grew older, I was constantly helping her with her homework, playing games with her, feeding her, and making sure she never got hurt. I would consider myself a very responsible, outgoing, caring person. I am constantly looking out for other people, no matter what their age may be and am always proactive to other people's needs. I am always prepared for anything that comes my way. Growing up with a nurse for a mother that specializes in neonatology, I am confident in my knowledge about germs, cleanliness, sickness, or any kind of subject in regards to health, especially with younger children. I am positive that I could undertake any situation that may arise while taking care of your child whether it be a small wound, or a serious allergic reaction. I absolutely LOVE being around kids and treasure every opportunity I spend with them.
