I am a credentialed teacher and have spent the past 8 years educating special needs students, grades K-8, for Los Angeles Unified School District. I have a bachelors degree in humanities and a masters in special education. I have experience babysitting all age ranges and am also qualified to tutor grade levels K-8. My schedule is completely open because I took a year off from teaching to travel. I've recently just moved back L. A. and look forward to sitting until I begin teaching in August. I have reliable transportation and a clean driving record.

We have been so fortunate to have had Laura as our steady babysitter for our toddler for roughly 8 months. She's always early, always accommodating to changing schedules, she's a joy to be around, and most importantly our daughter LOVES her. Laura's background in education showed in the way she engaged with our daughter. We always came home to a happy girl that we could tell had been learning while she was playing. Also, without my asking, I would often come home to a cleaned dishes and folded laundry- she always made the extra effort. We were so sad to see her move back to California but we are happy for the lucky family that gets to work with her next!
