I have been babysitting since I was 10 years old and have worked with infants and children of all ages my entire life! I am currently a substitute teacher for Austin ISD and I am also a certified sitter (over 4 years now with Austin's Capital Grannies babysitting agency), with more than 10 years of paid babysitting experience. I am an adult, infant, and children's CPR and First Aid Certified. I am well experienced and completely comfortable with full-service childcare. I have a younger brother with autism and have worked with children with disabilities, food allergies, diverse ages, large groups, and yes several times with newborns and twin infants! I graduated from the University of Texas in 2013 with a BA in Psychology in pursuit of a degree in children's counseling. My love for teaching and for children remains though I am now in pursuit of a career in business! Read more My schedule is never consistent, as I work a full time job with a fluctuating scheduld as well, so just contact me whenever you need a day off or a night out and I will let you know if I can help you out! I am available for occasional, fill-in, date night, overnight, and last-minute sitting. My rates are $13/per child plus $1 each additional child, with a minimum of 4 hours per day/job. I have the most experience babysitting 0-4 years old, however I love getting to sit for older kids as well. I am a very creative person, so I love to draw, paint, and do crafts with the kids, as well as fun science experiments and the like. I also love to keep kids active, so i get them playing outside, swimming, bicycling, walking/strolling etc whenever possible, and I am a huge advocate of fostering imagination, free play, and strategic thinking, so I encourage role playing/house/school/dress-up, dolls/character play, LEGOS!!!, blocks, forts, etc. Reading is very important to me, so I always bring a nice stack of fun picture books to read before bedtime.
