I am currently a third year PhD student in English at the University of Texas at Austin, and I have a great deal of experience tutoring students ranging from 3rd grade through the collegiate level. I have been professionally babysitting and nannying for five years. Before moving to Texas two years ago, I worked at a Manhattan all girls school as a substitute teacher and receptionist. I greatly enjoyed my experiences working with, tutoring, and babysitting 3rd to 5th grade students, and I have several years of experience working with families with young children (primarily between the ages of 2 and 8 years old). Since I moved to Austin, I have worked consistently at the UMC Trinity Daycare on Sunday mornings. During the past three summers, I have worked at the same New York summer camp affiliated with the all girls school where I worked from 2014-2015. As the youngest Read more of four children, I have been surrounded by children and pets my entire life. I have volunteered through the Garden City Summer Enrichment Program (primarily ages 5 to 12) as well as for the Swimming Buddies Program at the Garden City Pool (primarily ages 8 to 12) in New York, and I worked at the Catholic Worker in South Bend in 2014 where I spent a great deal of time taking care of an adorable 2-year-old girl. I have a great deal of experience working with families with toddlers and infants, and I have cared for an infant as young as six months. I am very comfortable working with multiple children of various ages, and I am also happy to attend to any pets you may have as well! I am also a proud aunt, and I have been delighted with the time I have spent with my 2 1/2 and 6 month old nephews. I am CPR and First Aid certified and have had background checks performed in New York, Indiana, and Texas. I am patient, love to read to children, and encourage imaginative, creative play.
