I've always been drawn towards the helping professions, which is where I find the most fulfillment. I obtained a degree in psychology from UNT in 2010 with minors in behavior analysis & counseling. I took a particular interest in developmental psychology and play therapy. This background allows me to really get on a child's level and understand the world from their perspective, which gives me the ability to communicate in a way that children can understand. They view and process information in a much different way than adults. I believe in child-directed play and allowing children the space to freely explore their environment. I love being around and interacting with children; their minds and behavior fascinate me. I'm very interactive with the children I nanny for, there isn't a game I'm not willing to play! I've worked for a local nanny agency for six years but have worked with children Read more for over 15 years. I have experience working with children of all ages, but I work with toddlers the most (love those 2-yr-olds!). I am comfortable providing transportation services as well. Aside from caring for children, I'm also passionate about yoga, herbalism, writing, nature, photography, and energy work. Compassion is a major foundation of my life, and this extends towards all living creatures. I would love to incorporate any of these aspects into my work with children, if permitted. I believe in opening and expanding the minds of children through new and different experiences.
