Hi! My name is Mary and I am an Austin resident interested in occasional and “date night” positions. I currently work full time at UT in the Engineering school and live near campus. Here’s a little bit more about me - I moved to Austin from New Jersey to begin my career at UT in Higher Education Administration. I currently work at UT as an Academic Advisor in Engineering. My past experiences in childcare and teaching began after college. Before moving to Austin, I worked as a teacher's assistant. I worked mainly with 3rd grade children, but also had the opportunity to interact with all grades, K-5. I also worked as an after-school care nanny for one 11-year-old girl. Growing up, I was consistently responsible for my sister, who is 8 years younger than me. Through her friends and parent networking, I babysat for several years, up to 3 children Read more at a time. The youngest I have cared for is 1, and the oldest I have cared for is 14. While I have taken a few years from babysitting to complete my graduate degree, I have stayed in contact with the parents I have sat for and now that I have completed graduate school, am ready to start building an Austin babysitting "network."
