Besides having two boys of my own (3 years and 5 months), I have 2 years experience in the daycare system.  During that time, I worked with children 6 weeks to 12 years and had a blast.  It's absolutely amazing to see your class of children grow as people. I have about 5+ years babysitting for various families, often as their long-term go-to sitter.  I also have 1 year experience working with a pre-school PPCD class through a teaching intern program.  I feel very strongly that children benfit most from being active and engaged as much as possible. For this reason, I like to keep kids busy with age-appropriate outdoor activities (when possible), games, books, etc. I am comfortable caring for children at any age and since I am from a large family myself, siblings are no problem. As an animal lover as well, I am also comfortable with pets. Read more Currently, I am a student at Texas A&M University- San Antonio. Fortunately, my school schedule has left my days pretty open.  In the recent past, I have used this availibilty to spend more time with my own children.  But now that my husband has gone back to school as well, I would like to pitch in by doing what I do best - caring for children. If you have any questions or concerns about me, please don't hesitate to contact me.  Because the hours on the checklist aren't very specific, here are my unavailable hours: Monday 930-315 Wednesday  930-12-15, 6-7pm Thursday    930-1215 Please keep in mind these are mostly due to my classes, which are on the south side, near brooks city base.  :) Schedule conflict is most likely the only reason I would ever pass on a family/job.
