I have been caring for my Mother for the last 4 years. She had Alzheimer and Passed away about a month ago. Before that I cared for several elderly people in Sweetwater, Tx. I worked 8 years for MHMR and raised two children by myself. I understand the difficulty of working parents and their need to not have to worry about their children while trying to make a home for them. I believe it is the parents ideals and principals not mine that should be taught as it is their child not mine. Safety ,cleanliness and security are the priority of my Child Care philosophy. Secondly but still very important is using every opportunity one can as a teachable moment. Even (especially) T.V. viewing and Games should be mostly of the educational variety. Fun and humor should be predominate in a child's day.
