I am a single mother of 3 girls currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. My youngest and the only one currently at home is 12 years old. I am CPR certified for Health Care Providers. I have volunteered for the past 3 years with a non-profit organization called Side by Side. Once about every 3 months or so we host an evening for about 4 hours where parents of special needs children can be dropped off for a night of fun while the parents can take advantage of a night out. I've gained knowledge on how to handle and care for different children's needs and have been able to watch and learn from Special Education Teachers who are also volunteers and the reason we are able to host these evenings for the kids. Currently, until the first week in May, I am in school in San Antonio on Mondays and Wednesdays only from 7:00 am until 3:15 pm (I am typically back in Boerne by about 4 pm). After the 1st week in May, I am available anytime until August when I start nursing school full-time. I need to work during this time to save money to help me get through the school year. I live in Boerne, TX and will travel about 10-15 miles.
