My name is Brenda Thompson, I am happily married, and the blessed mother of three adult children--the last left the nest this past year for college. Before moving to the Boerne area nearly three years ago to accept a new position as a Life Coach to a young man, my family and I lived in Austin. While living there, I was employed by a non-profit organization as a Resident Services Coordinator at an affordable housing multi-family apartment community. In this role, I was responsible for after-school programming for the children of the community, as well as providing summer activities and outreach events. Prior to this position, I was Director of Children's Ministries at my church for 10 years. In my spare time, I was also a contract worker for an Austin babysitting service, Austin's Capital Grannies. I had the joy and pleasure to care for many children and met some Read more fabulous families, many of which I am still in close contact with today. I am also CPR/First Aid certified. My philosophy working with children has always been: I treat the children in my care with the same amount of love, attention, and consideration that I would want and expect from someone caring for my own children. I'm lots of fun, active, inter-active, and firm, yet loving. In spite of my "maturity" I know how to be a kid myself!
