I am an 18 year old who loves children and all animals. In experience in caring for children I grew up babysitting siblings, cousins, and the neighborhood children; as well as having volunteered countless hours at the local parent resource center with Darlene Denton. My help there included preparing snack, activities, events involving reading and interacting with children. I would often be helping with a fun activity for the kids such as face painting, dressing up for doctor suess readings, helping the children interact and with her dogs that often accompanied us at the "marley" readings, and more. In caring for pets I have owned many types of animals and helped in care for even more. I have owned or helped in caring for cats, dogs, birds, gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, mice, rabbits, and chinchillas. In my work at the parent resource center I would often help in caring for Read more the dogs. These duties included dressing them (they had an outfit for every event), food and water, walks and bathroom breaks, transportation, as well as play and company while waiting for the kids. The amount of time I was assisting with these events ranged from a few hours to a couple of days. I would help with everything from the preparation, care for the children and her three dogs, activities, and cleanup afterwards.
