I'm an athletic, outgoing, fun loving teenager. I am currently enrolled at Leander High School and I've been accepted into the liberal arts program at Texas State University, which I will be attending in the fall. I was in the marching band at my school for three years, and I now play in a rugby league outside of school. Ever since I was little I couldn't wait to teach my own class, and I've been lucky enough to have had many opportunities to gain experience working with children of all ages and backgrounds. I began babysitting when I was 12 for a family friend who had just had their first child. I cared for her alone for about three years before her baby brother was born. I continued caring for them as a pair (as well as overseeing play dates including up to three other children) for another year before Read more their family relocated to California. While much of my experience with children has been through personal relationships, I've had plenty of experience working as a professional in classrooms. In addition to volunteering at a program known as Head Start in a 4/5 year old class, I've spent my senior year as a student teacher in an 8th grade history class at Wiley Middle School.
