Howdy! My name is Dayden Shaffer, I am a student at Texas A&M currently taking a leave of absence due to personal and financial reasons. Though not currently enrolled, I am studying Animal Sciences, with the hopes of working in the Whitetail deer industry upon graduation. I grew up speaking Spanish with my parents, who are both physicians, and my two siblings who are also in college. As far as job experience, I have cared for 2 young girls for 18 months starting in 2007 with ages newborn to 16 months and 8 months to 2 years old, respectively. I've also cared for 2 young boys for 12 months starting in 2009, ages 6 months and 26 months to 18 months and 3 years old. Starting in 2011, I cared for 1 young boy for 8 months age 11 months to 18 months. I have worked at an all girls Read more summer camp teaching various activities including basketball, archery, riflery, swimming, and a mixed activities class called field sports. I worked with girls ages 9-16 for the month of July in 2011, 12, & 13, and all summer in 2016. I have been First Aid/CPR trained through my job working at the summer camp, and can update my first aid certification which was most recently renewed in January of 2015. I have worked most recently, apart from the summer camp, on Whitetail deer ranches to forward my experience and education in that job field. I have had lots of different jobs and experiences throughout the years, and have come to learn that working as a nanny during my time in school was the most rewarding. Some hobbies of mine include reading, taking my dog to the park, spending time with family and friends, and playing raquetball.
