I have experience working with children of all ages! My recent return to school has allowed me to return to working with children. Fortunately, I am currently enrolled in all online courses, leaving my daily schedule open and flexible to accommodate your childcare needs. I am a former non-profit employee with experience in volunteer and program management. Previously, I have assisted as a mother's helper for a young mother with a newborn baby and 4 yr old mentally handicap child. My first job was as a summer camp counselor with the YMCA, where I worked with children and youth ages 8-13 years old. My younger brother, who is now a grown adult, is mentally handicap. I am a certified respite care provider through the state of Texas for his care. I also spent 3 years volunteering as a nursery leader with my hometown church, working with as many as a Read more dozen toddlers at a time, ages 18 months to 3 years old. As their nursery leader, I led music time, prepared weekly age-appropriate lessons, and hosted an organized snack and play time. I am a former employee of Dallas AfterSchool Network and during my time with them I was fortunate to participate and benefit from many educational workshops focused on childhood development. I enjoy working with children of all ages. If there is time in the day and approval from the parent/guardian, I enjoy taking trips to the park, library, and other fun activities that may be available. I am also able to cook and am happy to help with occasional household chores, like loading the dishwasher.
