Hi Parents! I'm Shannon; a 23 year old, professional female living and working in Dallas, TX. I am an experienced babysitter with almost 7 years under my belt! My mother was an in home daycare professional for 32 years, so I grew up around children, and started babysitting on my own as soon as I was old enough to do so! I have 4 nephews and 1 niece, all between the ages of 1 and 7, and I have babysat for families who have between 1 and 3 kiddos between the ages of 2 and 12, so my experience with children is all across the board! In the past, I have helped families with many different tasks that include, but are not limited to: picking up children from school, helping with homework, cooking dinner (and cleaning up afterwards), bath time, story time, putting children to bed, overnight care, running errands, Read more and short notice babysitting. I am a very nontraditional babysitter; I don't believe in sitting children in front of the TV and doing my own thing. I am very interactive with the children, making sure that they are comfortable with me and that they are having a good time. I will even bring along educational games and activities! Ideally, since I do have a full time day job, I would like to work for families who need occasional (or daily!) babysitting during the evenings, or even some weekends.
