My career has always been devoted to helping others. I worked for over twenty years in state government as an investigator. Part of my job was child labor law. I have a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Sociology (emphasis in family studies) and a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Philosophy. I later obtained a Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Management. My husband and I relocated to Dripping Springs, Texas, one year ago. I decided to try a new career, and accepted a position as an Special Needs Teacher's Assistant at an elementary school. I am assigned six children who have varying levels of special needs. Part of my job is also to monitor, interact, and play with the general student population during recess and physical education. I also assist in the cafeteria for about an hour each day. During that time we help over 700 students. I provide utensils, Read more napkins, condiments, open containers for the little ones, resolve conflicts and set expectations for dining etiquette. I bring compassion and empathy to any job. I understand the social and learning needs of babies, small children, and teenagers. I am fun, playful, and intelligent. I also do not believe in corporal punishment; however, I do believe in setting boundaries and creating expectations in a loving environment. I am well versed in the Seven Health Habits: Leader in Me for Kids. I will love your kids as if they were my own while keeping safety as a top priority. I have also been finger printed in Texas with criminal background checks. I look forward to meeting you and your family. I love pets too!
