Hi! My name is Emily Freed. I recently graduated with my Masters of Social Work at Texas Christian University. Although I was born and raised in Orange County, California, I completed my undergraduate and graduate program in Fort Worth, Texas! Ever since I can remember, I have always had a dream of experiencing DC! I am so excited to be living in the Nation's Capital. Although it can be tough sometimes living far away from my family, I continue to remind myself that I’m on an adventure-an adventure to discover myself in a different place with different people, an adventure to apply all that I have learned from my parents and my past experiences. I have provided care to children ranging from ages 1 through 11 and I have performed various duties including preparing meals, bathing and dressing children, assisting them with daily activities such as homework, and driving children Read more to various appointments. I also have experience in caring for children with special needs.  According to my responses to the Clifton StrengthsFinder, my signature themes - my five most dominant themes of talent, ranked in order include: Positivity, Developer, Restorative, Learner. I am always on the lookout for the positive in every situation and I try to find ways to make everything more exciting. I see the potential in others and my goal is to help people experience success. I love solving problems and I love to learn. I am always looking for ways to include people and make them feel part of the group.
