Hi! My name is Aly, and I have spent the last four years of my life dedicating every job I have had to children. I've done it all, volunteered in preschools, tutored children with learning disabilities, trained in pediatric treatment centers, held multiple nanny jobs and worked hand in hand with many speech impaired students in my local elementary school. I am CPR certified, AED certified, first aid certified and hold a Serve Safe (food handlers) Card. I love art, reading, board games and park visits! Personally I enjoy running, and I am currently in the process of going vegan. I know some Spanish, along with American Sign Language and one day I hope to become a kindergarten teacher!(:

Aly applied to my job, and we spoke on the phone where she agreed to send her references to my email address by the following morning. We set up a job for her for the following week. It’s been three days and I’ve not received the references or heard back from her, despite a reminder text. I do see she’s logged into this site since then so clearly she decided the opportunity is not for her. A simple phone message, email or text to tell me she had changed her mind would have sufficed. What the Aly’s of the world don’t realize is when potential sitters behave like this, word gets around to the mom’s groups. For example, my FB Frisco mom’s group has over 4K members. I can see that she has done this to another mom as well by reading the other review. Not mature enough to trust with your precious children.

Aly applied for my job posting requiring an after school sitter. We exchanged emails and scheduled to meet for an in person interview. I contacted her the day of to confirm, but did not get a response. I expected to see her at the scheduled time but she was a no show. What ever the reason, I would have appreciated knowing there was a change in her plans as a professional courtesy.
