My name is Davida, and I'm currently 23. I've been working with kids ages 4 to 15 for a little over 7 years now. I began volunteering at the Houston Public Library and Children's museum when I was a junior at Carnegie Vanguard High School. I liked the kids so much, I took a position as an after-school mentor for middle and high-school kids as part of a 2 year internship at Marquette University. Upon graduation from college I took a contracting position with a non-profit known as Avenue CDC and began teaching cooking, yoga, tutoring classes in affordable housing apartment complexes. As well as a background in child psychology and conflict resolution I possess certification to perform CPR issued by the American Heart Association. When I am not babysitting, I am furthering my career in study and apprentice-ship as a midwife.
