I graduated May of 2014 with a B.A. in Theatre and a minor in Sociology from Southwestern University. Over the years I have found that my love for playing and creating and collaborating in the theatre complimented my love for the skills in the childcare field. In the summers between school years I found that I could be both an actor/director and a nanny. During the day I was able to work in the childcare field (one summer as a camp counselor and the following two summers as a full time nanny), and in the evening I was able to run the Theatre Company I started with two friends from High School. It was really quite amazing how much I learned watching the playful and engaging relationships between the children I nannied, and then applied that to my actor's warm-ups and choreography. This past year I have had the opportunity Read more to work for an educational after school program. This job not only included working with the children at their elementary schools; but also working in the office to create curriculum, answer parents calls and questions, and gather or create the necessary supplies for a fun after school day! Although I love all my kids at my school, I really do miss working one-on-one with a family and their children. Certifications: CPR and First Aid training.
