I'm Lesley and I have experience with children from infant to school aged as a caregiver. I have taught a prenatal fitness class in the past, so I have strong knowledge of how important nutrition is for both mom and baby and how to foster routine in feeding and sleeping once baby arrives. I have taken care of infants and children of all ages. I have strong knowledge of newborn care, including feeding, diapering, establishing sleep routines, and promoting developmental milestones both cognitively and physically. My philosophy about raising toddlers is to provide a safe and loving environment, assure that they feel understood, and facilitate development so all milestones are reached. Children need structure and to know they are understood. I have a music background, teach piano, and music theory. If you have a piano, I'm happy to incorporate a few lessons into my afternoon with your children. One of my strengths is patience and the ability to keep a level head when things get chaotic. Another is my ability to get on the child's level. Every child deserves to be heard and treated as an individual. I'm creative and always participate in what the children are doing. I believe in active participation and will never leave your children untended or ignored. It's important they know I care about them!
