My name is Ashley Hayden and I am 30 years old. I am in Chicago until August 1st for an internship at the University of Chicago. I am interested in babysitting and/or tutoring part time on the side while here. I have a lot of experience with children. I was a high school science teacher for 5 years in Texas before deciding to go back to school to pursue a Masters degree this past August. 5 of my nieces and nephews attended school in the district that my step mom and I taught at so we would take turns getting them after school each afternoon and watching them until their parents got off of work. I also baby sat all through high school as well as college for friends and family members as an extra source of income; I have a total of 11 nieces, nephews, and small cousins that Read more range in age from 2 months to 11 years so I have a lot of experience just being around small children. I worked as a nanny during the summer of 2012 while on summer vacation while teaching; I watched 3 children (ages at the time were 2, 3, and 6) from 7:30 am until 6 pm during the week. I was responsible for cooking them breakfast, lunch, and usually dinner, getting them dressed each morning, as well as organizing their activities throughout the day. I love being around children and would really like the opportunity to give hardworking parents a much needed afternoon or evening out kid-free from time to time.
