All throughout high school I cared for my four small neighbors. Youngest starting at 6 months and oldest 10. I did this during the summer for one family, and watched two children for another family ages 8 (twin boy and girl) every Saturday. Once I moved away to college I did not baby sit anymore, but upon my graduation I got a job at the local hospital as a nurse technician in the neonatal intensive care unit. I worked in this unit for one year, resigning only to move to Houston, TX for school. Since I do not start school until May 2017, I now work at Texas Childrens Hospital as a newborn hearing screener. I not only screen healthy newborns, I also screen the very sick neonatal intensive care unit babies as well. I love everything about kids, and everything about my job.
