There are many reasons I choose to work with children. They are so imaginative and so curious about the world. I enjoy their excitement and fascination at the littlest things. I knew from age of 12 that I wanted to work with children in my future. I have always babysat for family members and friends growing up. When I got high school, my junior and senior year, I enrolled in a preschool program for ages 2-5. This program allowed me to create lessons for the kids and also help kids with every subject and get them ready for elementary school. After high school, I went on to work at Primrose Preschool for about 1 year. There I worked with newborns up to 5 years old. Then I went on to babysit a 4 year old boy for about a year 5 days a week, and sometimes on the weekend. I Read more helped him with homework, played learning games with him, walked their dog occasionally, washed his clothes and sheets, washed dishes, occasionally helped clean their house and prepared his meals. I enjoy all ages of kids but I ABSOLUTELY adore working with babies and toddlers! And I think I have the most experience watching them! Lastly, I would prefer to meet and greet with parents/guardians and the kids first to see if we have a good vibes and connection with one another.
