Hello, my name is Maddy and I have been working professionally as a Nanny and Babysitter for the past 10 years. I have held several consistent long term nannying roles with families in New York City, Houston and LA and recently worked as a live-in Nanny for a wonderful family in Sydney, Australia. I am originally from NYC and graduated with honors from Rice University with a BA in Sociology. I currently work part time as a yoga instructor and am looking for a part-time after school position and/or weekend babysitting. I have a clean driving record and a reliable vehicle. In my past nannying roles, my weekly responsibilities included picking up the children from school, transporting them to various after school activities, helping them with homework and preparing them for bed. I have cared for elementary school age children, pre-schoolers and infants and have extensive experience with twins. I am Read more also comfortable caring for family pets, and have experience working with dogs, cats and farm animals. I have volunteered with the Gift of Literacy and the America Reads program as an English tutor for children struggling to meet reading standards in 2nd and 3rd grades and would be happy to help tutor children in a variety of subjects. I am Red Cross certified in Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid. I also completed a course at the RIE center here in LA, and am a certified "RIE Nurturing Nanny". I am fluent in Italian, and would be glad to speak with your children in Italian if requested. I have found my experiences working with children to be extremely rewarding.
