Growing up I have always been drawn to help in nurseries and child care. At church, events, basically anywhere that provided childcare. I started my caregiving experience very early on when I was eleven. My nephew was born and my sister was a single mom who had to work full time, so he stayed with us for the first few years of his life and I got the privilege to help my mom take care of him. Four years later my niece was born, and I was able to take care of both children without adult supervision. So it is not surprising that my first job was in child care. I worked at an after school care program at my church and I loved every minute of it! The best part was creating a bond with each child and coming up with fun games, crafts, and activities to do everyday. Read more I am kind of shy at first but I open up quickly once I can get a conversation started. That's one of the reasons I love working with children, it's easy to talk to them and have fun without worrying about being professional. Kids only care about if you're funny and can have a good time. I hope to have a big family of my own one day so I do not take any experience with children lightly. Safety and fun is my number one priority when it comes to taking care of kids.
