I have 3 children of my own (now grown) and am also foster mom to an adult who spent 2 years with me as teen. She has given me 3 beautiful grandsons, ages 4 & 7 and a new grandaughter this year. I have First Aid, CPR and Blood Borne pathogens training as well as Pride Training (covers abuse & neglect, separation anxienty and positive parenting) and I have also had my FBI background check done in addition to the background here on Sitter City.   MY PHILOSOPHY: Busy kids are happy kids!  I have more than 27 years of experience working with children and babysitting, so i know how to keep them busy so we Read more both have fun. I like to do crafts, read books, cook & bake, take trips to the park, go for walks, play games, run errands and go shopping. I also encourage play dates! I sieze every opportunity to teach fairness, sharing, and making choices. I encourage good manners by leading by example (please, thank you, your welcome). I encourage outdoor play as much as possible when the weather permits (and YES, it is supervised!) Your kids will never be pushed outside to play alone. I take my job very seriously! TV is by far not encouraged but I have a nice collection of children's movies to bring along for those days when they need to relax or rainy days!    I have a cell phone for emergencies. I am a licensed driver with a clean driving record and full coverage auto insurance. In the even we want to venture out, Your child will ALWAYS be properly restrained in my vehicle and you may be asked to leave your carseat if necessary. Of course, you will always know when this is the plan ahead of time. If you are looking for a SAFE and loving Nana to care for your child who will provide more personal attention than any daycare environment could provide, please contact me. I'm currently employed part time but get my schedule a couple weeks in advance. Im seeking to supplement my income by offering occasional childcare in YOUR home.
