Right out of high school, I worked at a local daycare for about a year and loved it right away. I had the 4-5 year olds in my class and I enjoyed teaching and playing with them. After I moved for college, I had to change jobs. Then my mother passed away unexpectedly in October 2012, and I chose to become the legal guardian of my siblings who were at that time 12 and 13. I have raised them the past 4 years and it has been a tremendous learning experience for all of us. I am very close with them and they have taught me a lot about how it will be to take care of my own children one day. Over the years I have babysat for several friends and family members on occasion.
