I am currently a student at St. Edward’s University. I am a marketing major and minoring in Spanish.I have been working with children and adults with disabilities for the past seven years. I have been volunteering for Easter Seals for the past six years and I have been working for them the past two summers. During the summer I am a buddy at Camp Buckaroo. At camp I am paired with a child (or two) with a disability. At camp, we are responsible for our camper(s), these responsibilities include restroom duties, making sure the camper(s) is/are engaged in all activities, and helping with feeding the camper(s) if necessary. On Friday evenings I am a respite giver. This is a service which parents drop off their children (children ranging in ages from 5-25) allowing them to have the evening off. For the past two years I have been sitting for both two local families back in my hometown of Houston during school breaks.The first family consist of one daughter of age four. My responsibilities with her are making dinner, taking her a bath, and putting her to bed according to their nighttime routine. The second family consist of two children, a son that is four and daughter that is two. I have the same responsibilities for this family, as the other family. I am available Monday and Wednesday before 1 pm and after 5 pm. On Tuesdays and Thursdays
