I've worked with kids ranging from 1 to 9 years old. I have been babysitting since I was 14. My first babysitting job was taking care of Torry, who was 6 years old and lived in my neighborhood. Torry had a lot of energy and we both enjoy being outside so most of our time was spent playing hide-n-go-seek, sports, and board/card games. Since that summer, I've been babysitting kids and incorporating other ways for them to spent their time besides watching TV all day. Unless, of course, they have nap time or homework to do. On the days that weather didn't permit us from leaving the house, that wouldn't stop me or the kids from finding something fun to do. We would watch an old cartoon movie. I would read them a book or tell them a make-up story with knights and dragons. I consider myself an artist and Read more have shared my passion for arts and crafts with the kids because it is a wonderful way for them to express themselves with colors. I've cook for them and made sure they finished their homework by tutoring them when they need it. My motto regarding to homework is "to teach and guide so they understand the problem rather than doing it for them." I'm also a dog-lover and own two beautiful (very energetic) dogs. I am currently taking care of my sister's Siberian Shepherd but I've taken care of other pets too. So having a dog (or any other animal) in your family will not be a problem for me.
