I am currently nanny to a 19-month-old, and I am the mother of a soon-to-be-6-year-old. I stayed at home for years with him, and now he is in Kindergarten. I supplement his learning outside of school because, honestly, he goes to school for socio-emotional development and not academics due to his advancement. I love children, and my strengths with them include patience and gentleness. I raise my child in a gentle, but not permissive, fashion. There are rules, boundaries, and limits; but I do not yell or strike my child. I would treat your child the same way, obeying your rules, boundaries, and limits. Mostly, I like to have fun with kids; I greatly enjoyed staying home with my child and feel that time passed too quickly in some respects. I am experienced in baby-wearing, cloth- and disposable-diapering, potty training, reading infant cues, and getting giggles out of babies.
