Hello! My name is Nkemji and I am currently a 3rd-year medical student. I am a Rice University graduate in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. I also graduated from the Case Western School of Medicine, where I studied Bioethics and Public Health. I wanted to do something flexible with my school schedule and hospitable rotations that I felt would be enjoyable and knew that I enjoyed working with kids before and would love to do it again. In the past, most of my childcare experience has been through my church, as I was the vacation bible school music director for preschool. During my time as an undergrad, I worked at cheer camps with lots of children as well. During graduate school, I worked as a substitute teacher, was a tutor and grader for the Kumon Math and Reading Center, and tutored and babysat independently. I am active, love kids, and have Read more worked with kids ranging from newborns to teenagers. I am additionally familiar with caring for infants, newborns, and even premature babies (changing, swaddling, burping, carrying, etc), so do not hesitate to ask! As a medical student, I am up-to-date on all CPR and first aid certifications.
