I am a retired grandmother of 5 wonderful grandchildren ranging in age from 6 to 14.....and am looking for employment that will still allow me flexibility. I realize how hard it is for single parents and those parents who do not have family close by to find someone they would entrust with their children. I'm also very active with gardening, yard work, reading, and other activities. I volunteer as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) so am an officer of the court. CASA's advocate for children in the foster system. Our sole focus is on the needs and wants of the child only, and we visit and spend time with the children, report and make recommendations to the courts. We are required to go through training and are sworn in by the court.
